The Perfect Pot of Tea

Having had friends over for a Sunday lunch and I  pushed the boat out and actually made a cake!  Delia Smiths low fat carrot cake was a success so whilst cutting it, the conversation naturally turned to tea and so off I went to make a cup of tea for my rather full guests.

I do have a teapot – but I’m the only tea drinker in the house so it rarely gets used.  I’m also extremely fussy, liking my tea to look like gravy…really strong and very little milk..so it amused me to see that the BSI *(British Standards Institute) have a 6 page guide to preparing tea properly…perhaps I should read this again to ensure my guests really do get the best cuppa!
