Top 10 apps for 2015

Can I have one of these for Christmas please Santa.

Oooh, I love this and have put on my Christmas list (which basically gets ignored as I’ve been told by the hubby that I can’t have a Christmas list at my age). It’s Ollie – the the app-controlled robot driven by adrenaline that has got me all fired up. The ad for it is brilliant, all loud pumping music and speed tricks. If the price tag was a little cheaper I would definitely buy it for one of my friends who is ‘pretty damn cool’....

The Magical World of the Night Zoo Keeper

We like to look at for apps that are a bit different from the norm and especially those that appeal to children. So one that is really quite magical is the Night Zoo Keeper as featured recently in the Guardian. Monument Valley: Forgotten Shores Uproar

I must admit I don’t play many games on my phone/tablet/pc so it’s hardly surprising I had no idea what the word ‘freemium’ meant when I came across it recently. My 11 year old daughter however put me straight immediately ‘ der mum, it’s when you have an app that is free but you have to pay for add ons or different levels and stuff’. I swear I saw her smirk. Anyway, the reason I stumbled across the phrase ‘freemium’ was in a cross...

Prince William Teams up with Angry Birds

Not a phrase you would think you’d ever stumble across eh? No, William isn’t brushing up on his gaming skills for when Prince George gets older. He’s backing a ‘Save the Pangolin’ campaign that Angry Bird makers Rovio are hoping to raise awareness of by including in a 7 day special game. Hands up who doesn’t even know what a Pangolin is. Err .. you’re not alone. It’s a scaly anteater and is one of...
